How Bilby works
House delivery, crane and assembly
Count only work outside the house package
Delivery, crane/unloading and house assembly have separate conditional budget references. They become additional costs only when they are needed outside the supplier’s package. The house purchase price does not automatically tell Bilby whether transport and erection are included; use the package scope and actual quotations to avoid adding them twice.
Transport, lifting and erection have different jobs
Delivery means ordinary regional heavy loads, not the house materials themselves. Crane includes normal capacity/operator and billable travel/minimum time. Assembly covers normal erection labour, tools and weather-tight shell completion from delivered components. It excludes the kit purchase, interior completion, foundation and the separately priced crane and haulage. Special ferries, escorts, road closures, extraordinary lifts and difficult access need a scoped quote.
Editable logistical quantities
The defaults are starting assumptions; moving the house model does not survey a crane route or set a supplier delivery schedule.
| Input | Unit | Origin |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery loads | loads | User/quote or default 2 |
| Crane billable time | hours | User/quote or default 10 |
| Assembly floor area | m² | Project quantity or default 150 |
| Included transport / crane / erection | scope | Supplier contract |
| Actual agreed price | SEK | User replacement |
Loads, hours and area
National low/expected/high delivery rates are 12,000/22,000/40,000 SEK per load. Crane is max(7,000/12,000/20,000 SEK minimum, billable hours × 1,700/2,300/3,200). Assembly is floor area × 1,300/2,200/3,600 SEK/m². These are separate modelled allowances, with consumer VAT basis before deductions; a priced project result or actual scoped quotation takes precedence. A minimum can make a small crane job cost more than its simple hourly multiplication.
Illustrative separate procurement
For a fictional 150 m² house with two loads and ten billable crane hours, delivery is 24,000/44,000/80,000 SEK, crane 17,000/23,000/32,000 and assembly 195,000/330,000/540,000. Combined scope is 236,000/397,000/652,000 SEK only if none is already included. If crane time were two hours, its reference would be the minimum 7,000/12,000/20,000, not 3,400/4,600/6,400.
Access and programme matter
Low/high vary ordinary procurement and productivity, not statistical certainty. Missing quantities use disclosed editable assumptions. Actual loads depend on the construction system; weather delays, waiting time and crane reach can change the quote. Colours, roof appearance and the displayed house design do not themselves specify a lifting plan. Confirm whether supplier assembly includes the same weather-tight scope before keeping this allowance.
Scope evidence and method date
Code reviewed 18 October 2026; national references researched 16 September 2026. Svelands Transport’s crane-truck pricing provides a lifting/transport anchor and DK Lyft’s house assembly description provides scope context. They are not quotes for the fictional house; the assembly area coefficients remain Bilby allowances.
The review date covers this explanation and its implemented method. Price and data dates are stated separately in the article.
