Build a house in Vellinge Municipality

Vellinge’s project map shows development across different parts of the municipality. A plot in Skanör or Höllviken has a different setting from one in Vellinge town or Östra Grevie. The project map is not a promise that a particular house plot is for sale.

Vellinge’s map portal shows both current detailed plans and plans in progress. A current plan can set house height, how much of the plot may be built on and where the building may stand. A plan still in preparation can change.

Vellinge says a new residential building always needs a building permit, including outside a detailed plan. An application includes a site plan on a new-build map and drawings of the facades, rooms, ground and a section through the house. Outside a detailed plan, you can first ask for a preliminary decision.

Vellinge requires a separate VA application to connect a new home to public water and sewage; it is not part of the building permit. Include a sketch of the pipes across the plot. The municipal contractor then contacts you about the service-line location.

First ask which public services the property can receive. Apply early and allow the municipality to inspect the connection before filling the trench.Water and sewage

Vellinge offers four map types for permit applications. A new main house within a detailed plan uses a complete new-build map. It shows property boundaries, ground levels, planning rules and VA connection points, and is valid for two years. A simpler plot map is used for smaller work.
