Register interest in a Vara plot

Overview

Vara lists municipal house plots in several localities and lets you register interest without committing to a purchase. Its page separates available plots from planned ones, which matters when considering a possible start date. Choose an actual plot, then check its adopted detailed plan and water services before deciding on a house model.Available plotsAdopted detailed plansConnect to public water and wastewater

Planning & detailed development plans

Vara collects adopted detailed plans in a map. Select the area containing your plot and open its plan map and description. They show how land may be used and what buildings may look like. Another plot in the same locality may have different rules, so use the documents for the right property when sketching the house.Adopted detailed plans

Prepare the permit for a new home

Building permits

Vara says a new one- or two-family house needs a building permit. The application includes a site plan, drawings and details of a certified control manager. The municipality also notes that planning rules can differ between nearby blocks. Base the drawings on your plot's plan and ask the permit team about uncertainties before applying.Build a new houseAdopted detailed plans

Ask whether public water reaches the plot

Water & wastewater

Vara has public water and wastewater service areas in the main town and other localities. That does not mean every plot can automatically connect. Ask the water team to confirm your property's status and connection point, and apply if connection is possible. For a plot outside the network, investigate a private arrangement.Connect to public water and wastewater

Maps & documents

For a new house within a detailed-plan area, Vara says the permit application must include a new-build map. It supports the site plan showing where the house will stand. Order it from the municipality in good time rather than drawing on an uncertain map extract. Ask the permit team what is needed if the plot is outside a detailed-plan area.New-build map
