Build a house in Tranemo Municipality

Plots across Tranemo's localities

Overview

Tranemo lists planned residential plots across the municipality, not just in the main town. Use its current plot map to choose a location. Then check the detailed plan, access and public or private water services for the exact property. A marker on the plot map is a starting point, not an approval for your proposed house.Available plotsDetailed plans and area rulesConnecting to public water and wastewater

Confirm the plan with the right team

Planning & detailed development plans

Tranemo cooperates with Gislaved on detailed plans. Some adopted plans have been digitised; other documents may need to be located separately. Ask the planning team to confirm which adopted plan covers your plot before deciding the house size and position. A plan still in preparation does not show what you are already allowed to build.Detailed plans and area rules

Building permits

Tranemo directs applicants to Gislaved for the permit process because Gislaved handles cases for both municipalities. Its site explains the detailed steps for application and start notice. Make clear that the property is in Tranemo and ask which drawings and documents your new home needs before applying.Building permit steps

The service area decides public connection

Water & wastewater

Tranemo says a new property must be inside its water and wastewater service area to connect to the public network. Check this for your plot before planning the house pipes. If covered, apply and receive details of the connection point and a preliminary charge. Outside the area, investigate private water and wastewater separately.Connecting to public water and wastewater

Maps & documents

Tranemo's permits are handled with Gislaved, whose map guide explains that a new-build map is often needed. Draw and measure the house on it to create a site plan. The required map depends on the location and proposed work. Ask the joint permit team what applies to your Tranemo property before ordering.Building permit stepsMaps for building permits

Choose daily life in one of several places

Living in Tranemo

Tranemo describes nature, community activities and services across several localities. A plot in Tranemo town and one in Dalstorp or Limmared can mean different journeys to school and daily destinations. Visit the site and compare travel to work, shops and activities from the exact plot, not only from the locality name on a map.Why live in Tranemo?Available plots
