Most Malmö households use the public water and sewage network operated by VA SYD. The city also explains private sewage for properties without public service. The plot’s actual location determines which route to investigate.

Malmö prepares new-build maps to order. The normal map includes property boundaries, ground levels and the water and sewage connection point. The simplified map omits the latter details and is mainly for projects that do not need a new VA connection.
